This scholarship will be awarded to students demonstrating a commitment to partnering with and supporting Native American and Indigenous communities. This award is open to undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Iowa.


Amount:
•$500- $1000
•Up to 2 scholarships awarded each academic year

Criteria for Selection:
•Applicant must be currently registered in an undergraduate or graduate program at the University of Iowa
•Applicant must have a demonstrated commitment to Native American or Indigenous communities through activities at the University or larger community

Applications must include:
•A one-page statement describing your academic or career goals and the ways in which these aim to support Native American, Alaska Native, Inuit, First Nations, Métis, Native Hawaiian, or other Indigenous communities.
•A letter of recommendation from a UI faculty or staff member, Tribal government, or Indigenous organization that describes the potential of the student to make positive contributions to Native and Indigenous communities.
•Unofficial transcript(s) of course work
