Kim Marra, Professor of American Studies and Theatre Arts (with affiliate status in Gender, Women's & Sexuality Studies) has been named a Collegiate Fellow by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
Professor Warren gifts Shawnee Tribe with extensive archive

Since he was an undergraduate, University of Iowa Professor of History and American Studies Stephen Warren has devoted much of his research to the Shawnee Tribe. His work took on special significance when he recently gifted the tribe with an extensive archive of materials that he has compiled over years of work, which will increase the materials' reach and allow tribal members to speak on their own terms about their cultural identity.

Chris Henderson receives Marcus Bach Fellowship

Chris Henderson is one of four College of Liberal Arts and Sciences graduate students who have received a 2019-20 Marcus Bach Fellowship for Graduate Students in the Humanities. The award, taken during the fall 2019 semester, will allow Chris to complete research on his dissertation "Pleasurable Labors: Fandom, Community, and the Contested Performance of Place." Congratulations, Chris!
